"An autistic child does not know how to call his mother, they will hurt themselves, hitting him until his mother came, that's one way they called her mother," said Roselyn.
According to Roselyn, people with autism often speaks with a monotonous tone and without expression. Sometimes they repeat the words of others that they heard, or so-called echolalia.
Apart from weak communication, people with autism often acting weird like always repeating the same activity every day. "For example, they wear school uniforms. First wear clothes, they wear pants, all three wearing shoes, always regularly because they are difficult to organize," says Roselyn.
Roselyn also gave an example, a student with autism do not have the fear of danger. "A student who was two years old I like to go up to the fourth floor, leaned down, only to get the sensation of horror, he did not know that danger," he said.
In addition, children with autism also have excessive obsession towards something. For example, they obsess on the numbers, then they will continue to pay attention to the numbers, or obsessing on the rope, they will playing rope continuously. "People with autism are also sensitive to touch. They can hurt just because a small touch," he said.
Nevertheless, there are unique advantages possessed with autistic children. They can recall in detail and accurate information. Their visual memory is also very good and able to concentrate on certain subjects or work in a period of time.
